잭과 애니는 오늘 어떤 특별한 마법을 찾으러 떠날까요?
숲으로 들어간 아이들 매트하에 매달려있는 사다리를 발견합니다.
이번엔 손과 가슴을 이용한 특별한 언어를 배운다고 하는데.. 아마 바디랭기쥐가 아닐까 생각해봅니다 ^^
이번엔.. 아마존 레인포레스트가 아닌 아프리카 레인포레스트 입니다.
모간 할머니께서 두번이나 레인 포레스트로 보내는 이유가 궁금한 잭과 애니
출발해볼까요?
도착하자마자 그 곳은 온통 안개로 휩쌓여있습니다.
그리고 잭은 역시 책부터 꺼내들어 읽기 시작합니다.
거기에 등장하는 고릴라! 애니는 고릴라를 너무 사랑한다고 하네요.(고릴라 뿐이겠습니까? ㅎㅎㅎ)
이끼로 가득찬 나무를 지나 귀여운 입이 귀에 걸린 고릴라 한마리를 발견하는데요..

고릴라 부부와 함께 놀던 애니와 다르게 잭은 고릴라에 대해 마치
과학자처럼 고릴라에 대해 자세히 기록하기 시작합니다.
그러다 애니가 고릴라 처럼 나무타기를 하다 그만 떨어지고 맙니다.
맙소사..... 잭은 어서 애니에게 달려가고서는 팔과 다리를 흔들어(wiggle) 보라고 합니다.
멀쩡한걸로 봐선 어디 부러지진 않았네요.
그러자 갑자기 어둠이 몰려오고.. 잭은 아까 의자처럼 생긴 나무 옆에 두었던 의자와 후래쉬를 찾으러 갔다가 그만
애니를 잃어버렸네요. 결국 나무 위로 올라가서 아침까지 기다리게 되는데요.
잭과 애니는 어떻게 될까요?

부부가 잭을 깨우고, 잭은 부부를 따라 빈터로 갑니다.
애니가 근처에 자고 있는 걸 발견 한 잭..
거기에 두목 고릴라 silverback이 있습니다.
모든 고릴라는 자고 있는데.. 두목만 깨어있네요.
책에 써있는 고릴라는 수줍고 온화하다고 써있었지만..
항상 책이 있는게 맞지는 않는 법!! ㅋㅋ
고릴라 두목은 성큼성금 잭에게 다가옵니다.
다급해진 잭은 몽둥이를 하나 들었으나... 두목의 거친 포효에 그만 몽둥이를 놓쳐버립니다.
부부 역시 나무뒤로 숨어버리고, 고릴라는 계속 다가오고 있습니다.
잭이 "hi" "I come in ...." peace까지 했어야 했는데.. 그전에 두목이 미쳐갑니다.
잭은 나뭇가지 하나를 들고 흔들기 시작하더니 나뭇입을 찢기 시작합니다.
그리고 고릴라 처럼 이를 드러내고 악물고, 가슴을 치고 소리를 지르기 시작합니다.
그러자 갑자기 고릴라는 4발을 땅에 내리고 뒤로가기 시작합니다.
그리고 손바닥으로 땅을 여러번 내리 칩니다.
잭은 재빨리 작은나무? 를 넘어 나무 뒤로 숨고, 머리를 감싸네요
그리고 미치광이 고릴라가 잭을 찾아 산산조각으로 찢을때까지 기다립니다. <-- 여기 해석이 좀.. 이상해요 도망가지 않을까요? 음..
그러자.. 갑자기 고릴라가 온순해집니다. 무엇때문이였을까요?
잭은 다시 책을 펼쳐보기 시작합니다.
고릴라 처럼 행동하는 것이 야생 고릴라한테 안전하다고 써있네요
이제 애니에게 다가가 흔들며 일어나라고 합니다.
동물의 애니는 일어나자 마자 안녕 고릴라라고 하네요.
애니에게 무슨 일이 있었던 걸까요?

이번 내용은 좀 기네요.
잭은 고릴라와 놀아주고 친해지고 싶어합니다.
갑자기 비가 오지만 고릴라와 애니 모두 별로 신경쓰지 않네요.
그리고 고릴라 두목은 잭이 공책을 꺼내는 것에 대해 엄청 으르렁 거립니다.
애니가 고릴라와 놀고 돌아와서 수화를 배우네요! 바디랭기쥐가 아니라 수화였네요.
그리고 갑자기 검은 표범이 나타났지만 잭이 고릴라가 되어 내쫒아버렸네요 ^^

이제 작별의 시간 서로 아쉬움을 뒤로한채 매트하로 되돌아 옵니다.
(마치 이 장면은 19권 원숭이들이랑 비슷한 느낌을 받았네요)
그리고 집으로 돌아온 잭은.. 집에 걸어가면서
고릴라가 된 것 처럼 비가 오든 말든 신경쓰지 않고 우산도 펼치지 않고 집으로 걸어갑니다.
